Cookies
We may place small data files on your device or device hard drive known as “cookies” or a similar type of file (such as clear gifs, web beacons, tags, etc.) for the purpose of facilitating and enhancing your communication and interaction with the Services. Many websites use cookies for these purposes. Cookies are also used to collect general usage and volume statistical information. We use this information internally, to help us maintain and enhance the efficiency and usefulness of the Services. We may also use and place cookies on your device from our third-party service providers in connection with the Services, such as an analytics provider that helps us manage and analyze Services usage. We also use session ID cookies and persistent cookies. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. Our persistent cookies may remain active on your device for up to 1-3 years (depending upon the purpose of the cookie) or until you delete them manually. We set a persistent cookie to enable us to track and target the interests of users to enhance the Services.
We also partner with third-party analytics companies to assist us with analyzing the use of our own website. These third-party companies use cookies, web beacons, JavaScript- and HTML tags as well as other related technologies to collect information about your activities. Specifically, we use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (GTM) on our www.author-it.com and www.docuvera.com websites and within our Author-it SaaS product to provide measurement and analytic services. Clickstream data
As you use the Internet, a trail of electronic information is left at each website you visit. This information, which is sometimes referred to as “clickstream data,” can be collected and stored by a website’s server. Clickstream data can tell us the type of device and browsing software you use and the address of the website from which you linked to the Services. We may collect and use clickstream data to anonymously determine how much time visitors spend on websites, how visitors navigate throughout websites and how we may tailor our Services to better meet consumer needs. This information will be used to improve our Services. Any collection or use of clickstream data will be anonymous and will not intentionally contain any personal data.
Security
We have implemented technical and organizational measures, appropriate to the risk, to protect your personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss or alteration and unauthorized disclosure or access. However, due to the inherent open nature of the Internet, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information provided online.
Data retention
We retain your personal information, if provided by you through the Services, for as long as your inquiry is active (as determined by us), or as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, and for a reasonable time thereafter, or if applicable, for as long as you remain on our marketing list. We also may retain your personal information for a longer period of time on the basis of our legitimate interests in providing our Services to you or as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Even if we delete some or all of your personal information, we may continue to retain and use aggregated or anonymous data previously collected so that it can no longer be used for personal identification and/or anonymize or aggregate your personal information. Please note that we will not be liable for disclosure of your data due to errors or unauthorized acts of third parties.

The Site may integrate with social networking services. You understand that we do not control such services and are not liable for the manner in which they operate. While we may provide you with the ability to use such services in connection with our Site, we are doing so merely as an accommodation and, like you, are relying upon those third-party services to operate properly and fairly.
You should be aware that personal information which you voluntarily include and transmit online in a publicly accessible blog, social network or otherwise online may be viewed and used by others. We are unable to control such uses of your personal information, and by using such services you assume the risk that the personal information provided by you may be viewed and used by third parties.

We will never share your personal information with a third party for such third party’s marketing purposes unless you have specifically consented to us doing so.
You may contact us at privacy@www.author-it.com to exercise any of the above rights. We may request specific information from you to confirm your identity, and in some circumstances, we may charge a reasonable fee for access to your personal information.
