The Documentation Process With Author-it

This Chapter tells you a recommended approach for creating documentation using Author-it. It is not a step-by-step tutorial, but a broad description of the process required to produce quality documentation.

The recommendations in this Chapter are our opinion and we do not want you to think of them as necessarily the only way or the right way to create documentation. It is a methodology developed from our many years of experience in the documentation industry. There are many other methodologies that your organization may use with Author-it, and your Author-it Reseller will be happy to discuss these with you.

Before reading this chapter you should understand Author-it's concepts, and be familiar with the Author-it interface.
