Offline Authoring

Understandably, larger numbers of authors are moving towards working away from their main office. They are working from home, traveling away from the office on business... and so forth.

Offline authoring makes it simple for an author to use Author-it when not in a position to connect directly to the main library. This would include:

  • Working away from the office on a laptop that is normally connected to the main library via a LAN - with the intention of synchronizing the data when back in the office.
  • Working away from the office on a computer that is permanently offline - and being able to send/receive updates from the main library via a removable drive, email, or similar.
